UPTOWN Magazine in conjunction with MarketingCamp LLC and SEMAJ Consulting presents PROJECT13the 2013 day of change. This highly anticipated multicultural event was created to acknowledge and support 13 selected nonprofit organizations and campaigns dedicated to impacting the lives of those in need in the Atlanta community. This red carpet evening will feature 13 exclusive silent auction items, live entertainment, complimentary specialty-themed cocktail bars, passed hors d’oeuvres, mixing and mingling among Atlanta’s most recognizable tastemakers, notable figures, VIP guests and more. The evening entertainment includes Vina Mills, Corey Mekel, AMOMENT, Cori Lamont,
Saxophonist Zdany Chisholm & Bassist Michael Normwood. It will be an explosive night that promises to pique all of your senses while advancing 13 extremely worthy causes.

If you have no plans for your teens this Friday and Saturday, you do now. The Voices and Vibes teen festival takes places this weekend. The event is a way to engage metro Atlanta teens in the arts.
The "Voices" part of the festival kicks off this Friday at the Atlanta Symphony Hall. Talented teens will showcase their talent through singing, dancing, and other live forms of entertainment.
This event starts at 7 pm.
The "Vibe" part of the festival kicks off this Saturday, and will feature free interactive workshops like, live mural painting, digital storytelling, print making, drum circle, and poetry slam. Teens attending will also be able to tour the amazing Freida and Diego exhibit at the High Museum, and participate in themes workshops like Fashion for Frida and Sugar Skulls.
